Job Summary


Duties/Responsibilities: 


 The Accountant I will be responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting department by working within the SAP S4/Hana FI stream. Duties and responsibilities will include:


·         Prepare payable entries daily and process vendor weekly payments (check and electronic).

·         Maintain aging AP reports.

·         Support the reconciliation of third parties and intercompany payable transactions.

·         Check daily cash balance.

·         Complete daily bank reconciliations and download monthly bank statements.

·         Resolve outstanding vendor accounts and items.

·        Collaborate with AP email inbox administrator to meet time sensitive deadlines.

·         Prepare credit card journal entries.

·         Assist with weekly cash management meetings.

·         Collaborate with Project Management team for vendor credit checks as needed.

·         Support with the issuance of annual 1099s, sales tax filings, and property tax filings.

·         Assist and support with Workman's Comp and General Liability Audits.

·         Maintain and organize supporting documents for year-end audits.

·         Ad hoc projects and or assignments as needed for Company.


Education and Experience:


·         Two- or four-year degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent work experience.

·         Experience working in SAP S4/Hana preferred.

·         A high degree of accuracy with great attention to detail

·         Strong organizational and time management skills

·         Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and data

·         Microsoft Excel and Outlook

·         Understanding of accounting principles

·         Basic intercompany accounting principles (preferred but not required)

·         Understanding of complex company structures

·         Works collaboratively with other departments


Working Conditions:


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.  Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
