Job Summary

The M&A professional will be responsible for supporting asset-level merger and acquisition and capital markets activities across our global solar PV and storage portfolio. The role will primarily focus on transactions in the US with the opportunity to support hep’s international projects, including those in Europe, Canada, and Japan. This position is focused on financial modeling and sell-side process execution for operating and development-stage assets. You will work directly with the Global Head of M&A and senior management, gaining visibility across global transactions and investor relationships. 



Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Support execution of asset transactions, including project sales, capital rotations, and capital raises. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models for development-stage solar PV / Solar + storage assets. 
  • Prepare marketing and transaction materials, including teaser / CIM, sell side financial models, etc.  
  • Conduct buyer outreach tracking, assist with process management, and support negotiations with counterparties. 
  • Coordinate due diligence processes across technical, legal, and financial workstreams, in collaboration with these respective organizations. 
  • Monitor industry and market developments across key geographies and update internal teams. 
  • Collaborate with internal finance, legal, and development teams to ensure transaction readiness. 
  • Support pipeline valuation and portfolio-level reporting for senior management. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant transaction experience in solar PV or renewable energy. 
  • 2 – 3 years in investment bank, advisory firm, or top-tier consultancy, or 3 – 5 years in a developer, IPP, or infrastructure investor with direct deal exposure. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. 
  • High proficiency in MS Office programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with project finance modeling (preferred).
  • Clear, structured written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, international environment. Proactive, taking ownership of work responsibilities, and have a general can-do and get-it-done attitude. 


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period.  The noise level is typically moderate, consistent with a standard office environment.
