We are a well-established landscaping company based in the Midwest, serving both residential and commercial clients. As our operations grow, we’re seeking reliable remote support to help maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities. Our team values consistency, integrity, and hands-on experience in small-business accounting.


Position Overview

We are looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper who has hands-on experience managing accounting for small businesses or multiple entities. You will be responsible for handling core bookkeeping functions, including reconciliations, payables, receivables, and monthly reporting. This role supports both company and personal business finances, and is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update general ledger entries across multiple entities
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts
  • Prepare and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with payroll processing and contractor/vendor payments
  • Prepare basic financial reports for internal use
  • Track sales commissions and ensure timely payouts
  • Manage sales tax tracking and basic compliance
  • Support miscellaneous bookkeeping tasks related to personal LLCs and side ventures
  • Use QuickBooks Online or similar platforms to maintain financial data

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably with U.S.-based small businesses
  • Experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or with multi-entity accounting
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or equivalent accounting software
  • Comfortable with Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
  • Accounting degree is not required but a strong plus

Work Environment

  • 100% remote
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and backup systems
  • Must be available to work during U.S. business hours (CST preferred)
