We do not duplicate available services; instead, we build strong collaborative partnerships with local programs and foster connections between participants and our community partners.  

Position Summary

  • Supervise shelter activities to ensure the safety of participants.
  • Responsible for shelter intakes, reentry interviews, and after-hours referrals.
  • Manage timely bunk assignments, dorm inspections, and property storage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to appropriately assess a situation and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills and phone etiquette.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate logs, shift reports, and participant records, both manually and using a web-based program.
  • Perform urinalysis and breathalyzer testing of participants as needed.
  • Attend agency and program staff meetings.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and provide crisis intervention services to participants as necessary.
  • The right individual for this position has a passion for helping others, is nonjudgmental, and is able to deal with difficult situations in positive and constructive ways.
  • Experience working with homeless/low-income population helpful.
  • Understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
  • Full-time, benefit eligible, $18.90 per hour

  • Hearing and vision adequate for interaction with participants, interaction with staff, and interaction with the general public.
  • Adhere to covid-19 precautions per recommendations from the CDC.
  • Work is primarily performed indoors, within an office setting, occasionally accompanied by moderate noise levels and exposure to scents.
  • Frequently required to sit/stand at a computer or in a stationary position.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as copy machine, printer, and phone.
  • Frequently required to move about within the facility for meetings, office equipment, and daily operations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct or Lived Experience with homelessness, addiction, and/or low-income populations.
  • Understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and sexual assault
