Manual QA Tester

Highwire is the Contractor Success Platform for asset owners, general contractors, and facilities managers. The world’s most admired organizations — including Skanska, Merck, and Bond Brothers — use Highwire to ensure their contractors and subcontractors deliver great work, on budget and on schedule, by collaborating with them to dynamically mitigate safety, financial, quality, and sustainability risks during capital projects and facilities maintenance. In 2021, Highwire raised a $96 million investment led by the growth equity firm Summit Partners. Highwire is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, with a second office in Boise, ID.

To support this growth, we are looking for a Manual QA Tester. In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of our product quality — the person who catches what others miss and ensures we ship features that our users can rely on. If you’re obsessed with details, love digging into the “why,” and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is your opportunity to make a big impact on how we build and scale.

Your mission:

Your mission is to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality product features by executing thorough manual testing within sprint timelines, identifying issues early, and collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to drive continuous product improvement.

What you'll do:

  • Detail-Oriented and Thorough. You notice what others overlook — missed requirements, broken flows, and lurking edge cases — and you execute test cases to catch them.
  • Structured & Reliable. You’re organized, manage your sprint responsibilities well, and keep test documentation and tickets clean and up to date.
  • Collaborative. You enjoy working closely with teammates in planning, standups, and reviews — and you value being in an office environment where you can share ideas.
  • Communicative. You clearly articulate findings and ensure information reaches the right teams in a timely manner. You’re responsive and know how to keep everyone aligned.
  • Curious. You don’t stop at symptoms — you dig deep to uncover root causes and push for better solutions, challenging assumptions when needed.

We’re looking for someone with a couple years of experience in software QA or a similar role — someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves. You don’t need to be an automation expert or a career tester. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and excited about working closely with product and engineering to improve how things work, we’d love to meet you.

Benefits:

Our benefits go well beyond the basics. To support your work-life integration, we built a benefits program that takes care of the whole person, including physical, mental, financial, and emotional health.

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance to all full-time employees. Best part? You’ll be eligible on day one.
  • 401k. We offer a 401k and a 3% company contribution (even better than a match) to help you get ready to retire no matter how far off that seems.
  • Parental leave. We take care of new parents by offering paid time off for births, adoptions, and fostering.
  • Flexible PTO. Our culture of trust and measurement means there’s no limit on time off, just an expectation of performance.
  • Mentorship. Our office-based culture fosters meaningful learning, growth, and mentorship for our team.
