Associate, Transaction Execution

Fresh off of a Series A led by tier one investors, we are seeking ambitious professionals to join our high performing team. 

As an Associate you will be a foundational part of our transaction execution team. Reporting to the Director, Execution Services, you will run transactions from handshake to closing, provide exceptional support to the companies, buyers, sellers and legal counsel that we work with, and help Hiive’s customers unlock the value of their startup stock.

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 

  • Work with the execution team on all of Hiive’s transaction execution and issuer support initiatives and processes, working closely with buyers and sellers, legal counsel, and issuers, to provide exceptional client service, and achieve excellent outcomes. 

  • Independently manage a portfolio of transactions. 

  • Maintain agreements and communication templates to support all execution products and services. 

  • Compile documents and signature packages and obtain signatures as part of transaction closings.

  • Liaise with parties to provide updates and troubleshoot issues.

  • Work within Hiive’s CRM and other information systems to organize, record and track important information.

  • Work with the compliance team to support KYC, AML and other compliance and regulatory objectives. 

  • Support the Director, Execution Services with the development of new processes and ways of working.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience working in any fast-paced corporate setting.

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant area, ideally in commerce/business, law or economics, with a strong academic record.

  • Excellent attention to detail, resourcefulness and speed of execution.

  • Strong multi-tasking skills. 

  • Ability to communicate priorities and deadlines with internal and external stakeholders, and build constructive high-trust relationships across teams and functions.

Helpful (but not required) Experience: 

  • Experience in transactional work with high volumes of transaction documents, such as M&A, capital markets, or corporate finance.

  • Experience in a client-facing role.

The pay range for this role is:

100,000 - 170,000 CAD per year (Vancouver HQ)
