Senior Backend Engineer

In the public markets, you can buy and sell your shares of companies freely. Interested in owning a bit of Tesla? Log into your favourite brokerage and buy a share.

But what if you want to own a bit of SpaceX? The company is private and not listed on public markets; therefore, there is no easy way for you to buy a share. What if you worked at SpaceX or another startup, earned shares and wanted to sell them? Unfortunately, you’d run into the same problem and be unable to sell the shares you’ve worked so hard to acquire.

Until now. Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock of pre-IPO companies. Fresh off of a Series A led by one of the most successful investors in the world, growing 50% per quarter and looking for a person like you to join.
