Until now. Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock of pre-IPO companies. Fresh off of a Series A led by one of the most successful investors in the world, growing 50% per quarter and looking for a person like you to join.
As the Lead Writer, you will be at the creative center of Hiive. You’ll take trends, data, and interviews and convert those into leading stories in the private markets. We’re not just trying to write blog posts; we’re trying to build a knowledge engine akin to RobinHood’s Snacks and First Round Review. As one of the first hires on the marketing team, you’ll be given the creative keys to the castle and have the opportunity to forge your own journey with the potential to build your own team over time.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
Interviewing high-profile startup leaders at Unicorns and Hiive’s super knowledgeable exec team
Turning the world’s most extensive set of private market data into compelling stories
Building a feedback loop with our growth team to optimize SEO, ad copy, webpage copy, and everything else we share publicly
Crafting social media content and boosting engagement with our audience
Work with our designers and agencies to create compelling graphics and thought-provoking videos
Required Experience:
3+ years in journalism or content creation
You’re a great writer. From long form to short form, copywriting to a dissertation, you’re able to do it all
Knowledge of BI tools to dig up insights – or the willingness to learn how to dive deep into data
The ability to take technical jargon and convert it into prose
Knowledge of startups, VC, equity, and the financial terms that surround them
Knowledge of SEO best practices a plus
