Role Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining modern web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). This is a full-time role with a hybrid work schedule, requiring at least 75% on-site work. Applicants must be able to work from our office located in Downtown San Antonio, TX. We are not considering remote candidates for this position.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working across both front-end and back-end technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain full stack applications using Node.js, Express, React, and MongoDB
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features
• Write efficient, scalable, and testable code
• Contribute to code reviews, system architecture discussions, and DevOps practices
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack
• Stay up to date on best practices and emerging technologies

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with Node.js and full stack JavaScript development
• Proficiency with MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js (or similar technologies)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and basic DevOps tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Must be able to work on-site in our Downtown San Antonio office at least 75% of the time

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with AI and large language models (LLMs)
• Experience using Docker in development and production environments
• Experience working with large-scale or enterprise applications
• Background in fintech or financial technology projects
• Experience with TypeScript
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Experience working in an Agile environment
