About the Role

As the HR Director you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's culture, fostering talent, and setting the foundation for our HR initiatives. You will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our business goals and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment. This position will be responsible for crafting competitive compensation and benefits programs, promoting continuous learning and ensuring we stay compliant with employment regulations. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Executive team to develop and execute HR strategies that align with our mission, vision, and rapid growth objectives. Professional Duties

  • Develop and oversee all HR department functions
  • Establish and maintain company-wide procedures and maintain regulatory compliance 
  • Be a driving force in shaping our HR Strategy from the ground up, adapting the unique demands and opportunities of a startup environment
  • Oversee full-time and part-time staffing requirements, recruitment, onboarding, and establish retention practices that attract and retain the best talent
  • Craft competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract & retain top talent; craft compensation and benefits package for international hires
  • Optimize compensation, benefits and payroll practices for cost efficiency
  • Create learning and development initiatives and stay updated on HR trends; provide ongoing training & support to the leadership team
  • Develop and coordinate performance management and reward systems that promote the continued success of the organization and are valued by team members
  • Keep up to date on governmental regulations and reporting requirements to include EEO, OSHA, ERISA, wage and hour labor laws, at both the federal and state level
  • Create, update, and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Establish and oversee protocols for reporting, investigating, and documenting workplace incidents, injuries, and near-misses. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Oversee and monitor the annual HR financial budget
  • Ensure the selection and use of HR information systems (HRIS) that support HR and organizational needs, as well as monitor compliance and maintain processes
  • Focus on maintaining a company culture that fosters team member engagement and supports employee growth and organizational effectiveness
  • Establish a positive working relationship with the President and CEO to keep them well informed on upcoming initiatives
  • Travel within North America, when and as required
  • Any other tasks or duties assigned by the President and CEO

Candidate Profile, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience combination
  • 10+ years’ experience in HR management, leadership, and organization development
  • Experience in global HR and international hiring
  • Ability to analyze, develop, coordinate and continuously improve all HR functions
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, experience with FLSA, FMLA, HIPPA, ADA
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Passionate about perfection, exceptional emotional intelligence, and environmental/situational awareness
  • A high level of energy and dedication
  • Exemplary professionalism and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with staff, board members, and external partners
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at any given time while meeting deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other ancillary cloud platforms
