About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced CSSP Manager with extensive federal government expertise to lead critical oversight, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives. This senior management role requires a seasoned professional who can navigate complex stakeholder relationships within the NNSA ecosystem while driving operational excellence through strategic program management and organizational change leadership.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities:


Program & Project Management

  • Lead and manage complex programs and projects within the federal government environment
  • Develop and implement strategic program plans that align with organizational objectives
  • Coordinate multi-faceted initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ensure program deliverables meet quality standards and timeline requirements
  • Monitor program performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of subject matter experts
  • Provide strategic direction for oversight and assessment activities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Coordinate team efforts to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop team capabilities through training and professional development initiatives

Assessment & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing operational processes and procedures
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations
  • Analyze program performance data to inform decision-making
  • Evaluate compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts for process improvements

Continuous Improvement & Change Management

  • Drive organizational change initiatives to improve operations and outcomes
  • Establish and implement best practices across functional areas
  • Lead process improvement efforts using industry-standard methodologies
  • Develop and execute change management strategies
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Develop and deliver executive-level briefings and presentations to senior leadership
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for decision-makers
  • Serve as primary liaison with DOD, DOE, M&O Contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Navigate complex inter-agency relationships and partnership agreements
  • Facilitate communication between diverse organizational entities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in relevant field
  • Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PgMP) or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma)
  • Security clearance eligibility
  • Experience with federal budget processes and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of nuclear security or energy sector operations
  • Previous experience in consulting or advisory roles
  • Familiarity with government performance management frameworks

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional federal government environment with potential for hybrid work arrangements. The role requires regular interaction with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Some travel may be required for stakeholder meetings, site visits, or program activities. The position involves handling sensitive information and maintaining appropriate security protocols.
