Hunter Strategy is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operation of the company’s corporate IT environment. This role requires hands-on experience with endpoint management, identity systems, and core IT infrastructure while delivering technical support to internal users.
The position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, improving systems, and gaining deeper exposure to infrastructure, security and system operations.
Location: Hybrid Remote with location in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
· Own the imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of corporate workstations (macOS and Windows), ensuring they meet internal and project specific security standards.
· Assist senior staff and security engineering with server administration tasks when required.
· Assist with supervised configuration changes to corporate switches and firewalls.
· Install, configure, and maintain software on corporate devices and endpoints.
· Provide frontline technical support through the ticketing system, troubleshooting, and escalating issues through email, phone, and in-person support as applicable.
· Own IT onboarding and offboarding processes for internal users, including provisioning devices, system access, and company required resources.
· Own IT asset lifecycle management across hardware, software, and license assignments.
· Manage user accounts and configurations across corporate systems and platforms.
· Assist in remediating identified security vulnerabilities and other identified security and/or technical issues.
· Maintain integrations, certificates, and other applications and services as required.
· Manage device and user management through centralized identity management systems (e.g., Okta, Intune, Jamf).
· Create, maintain, and improve internal technical documentation including standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational how-to documentation.
· Assist in maintaining company office environment.
· Provision and administer access to the company office(s).
Critical Skills
· Strong customer service mindset with the ability to listen, interpret requests, and effectively support internal users.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear and detailed ticket documentation.
· Strong troubleshooting ability across operating systems, endpoints, SaaS applications, and access related issues.
Basic Qualifications
· 2-4 years of professional experience in IT support, IT operations, and/or systems administration.
· Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems in a corporate environment.
· Experience managing users and devices through identity and device management platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Intune, Jamf, Google Workspace, or similar).
· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, and general connectivity troubleshooting).
· Ability to commute to Washington, DC office weekly and/or as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
· Experience with cloud-native systems administration across a variety of services and technologies.
· Experience with patch management using multiple tools.
· Basic experience using PowerShell or Bash scripting to automate IT tasks.
· Experience working with identity providers or single sign-on platforms.
· Experience working with IT asset management systems.
· Experience supporting endpoint security tools or assisting with vulnerability remediation.
· Willingness to travel to Pompano Beach, FL office.
