Cybersecurity System Integrator
The Cybersecurity System Integrator is responsible for ensuring that cybersecurity controls are seamlessly embedded within IT projects and that security tooling functions effectively across hybrid environments. This role requires a blend of IT operations, IT engineering, and cybersecurity expertise to integrate security solutions into complex infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in system integration, automation, and cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate cybersecurity controls into IT projects to ensure security and compliance from design through deployment.
- Ensure interoperability of cybersecurity tools across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop automation workflows and orchestration solutions to improve system efficiency and security.
- Integrate disparate IT systems into cohesive workflows that align with organizational security goals.
- Apply knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53 rev. 5, and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) to system design and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure system integrations.
- Provide technical expertise in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and network security platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco).
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 2 years in a cybersecurity engineering role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience integrating IT projects using a commercial cloud provider.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using automation platforms for system orchestration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience integrating disparate IT systems into a cohesive workflow.
- Proficiency in Python, with at least 1 year of demonstrated coding experience as part of a work role.
- Detailed understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53 rev. 5 control families, and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Networking experience with Palo Alto and Cisco devices.
- Active Public Trust Clearance and/or clearable for a Government Security Clearance.
