Job Summary

The Director of Finance and Contracts will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation,  manage awarded contracts for compliance, track budgets and ensure overall operational excellence of the Corporate Center. 
 
Corporate Strategy Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO, Project Management Office, and Director of People on all operational and strategic issues; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, effective business practice, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis
  • Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management to establish clear goals and milestones
  • Collaborate with Director of People to assist with implementation of HR policies in alignment with best practices and regulation requirements 
 
Financial and Contracts Management Responsibilities
  • Oversee A/R and A/P Functional Analysts
  • Oversee Contract Burn Rates and Expenses 
  • Direct and manage the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and budget reports. 
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Track profitability within individual lines of business and associated commission/bonus structure therein. 
  • Financial Reporting in Required Government Systems (GSA ASSIST) and others for current contractual spend and management of industrial funding fee (IFF).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience or Strong Opinions on how to build a resilient consulting services back office
  • Proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Opinionated experience in either Costpoint or Unanet 
  • Passion for Technology Services Startups
  • Experience in Managed Services and Government Contract A/R and Collections
  • Affection for JIRA or other ticketing systems to track and delegate tasks. 
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance or Equivalent Experience Running Small Government Contract Consulting Financial Offices
Location: Primarily  telework, with occasional requirements to come to DC or FL offices for collaboration purposes within senior management. Additionally this position may require quarterly travel to either our Washington, DC or our Pompano Beach office for collaboration with Senior Leaders or attendance at on-site corporate events. Candidates are required to be located in the Washington, DC Area or South Florida Area.
