About the role
- This role will work on a data team focused on data analytics, machine learning, and MLOps. You will support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and will use data to help improve the delivery of well-earned benefits to our nation's Veterans.
What you'll do
- Use complex Python-based and open source approaches to develop text processing models using NLP, NER, NLU, NLG, or Generative AI approaches depending on use case
- Design and develop Machine Learning models that run at scale to support a broad spectrum of enterprise use cases
- Collaborate with other members of an MLOps team to build, deploy, and scale ML models on AWS infrastructure, predominantly AWS SageMaker
- Some familiarity with AWS-native services for containerization and API management will be necessary
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with focus on NLP, NER and other text mining techniques
- Strong proficiency in Python frameworks including Tensorflow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, etc.
- Familiarity with AWS-native tools for MLOps, mainly AWS SageMaker
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance from the U.S. Government
