We are a rapidly growing company in the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure space, specializing in Level 4 DC Fast Charging technology. We are committed to providing state-of-the-art solutions for EV drivers while ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Our team is seeking an experienced professional to lead our site management efforts across multiple locations.

Position Summary

The Head of Site Management will be responsible for overseeing the operations, support, and maintenance of our Level 4 DC Fast Charging stations across all locations. This role will also manage inventory, monitor equipment, and lead the development of an internal technician program utilizing Rivian Sprinter vans for on-site support and mobile inventory. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in operations management with a strong technical background in EV charging infrastructure or related industries.

Key Responsibilities


Site Operations and Maintenance: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all Level 4 DC Fast Charging sites, ensuring optimal uptime and efficiency.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repair protocols to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and manage internal technicians in performing routine and emergency repairs at charging locations

Support and Customer Service: 

  • Ensure that technical support and customer service teams provide timely, high-quality support for station users.
  • Monitor and respond to issues related to charging station performance and customer feedback.
  • Implement and maintain remote monitoring systems to track station performance in real-time.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management: 

  • Manage inventory of all spare parts, tools, and equipment needed to maintain Level 4 DC Fast Charging stations.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely sourcing and availability of key parts and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, repairs, and replacements.

Technician Program Development: 

  • Build and lead the internal technician program, utilizing Rivian Sprinter vans for on-site support and repairs.
  • Develop training programs and certification requirements for technicians to ensure high standards of service.
  • Manage fleet logistics, ensuring that the technician teams are dispatched efficiently to address issues across locations.

Monitoring and Reporting: 

  • Utilize data from monitoring systems to assess performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on station performance, maintenance needs, and operational issues.
  • Develop and implement systems for continuous improvement of site management processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

  • Coordinate with other departments including construction, engineering, and IT to ensure site installations and upgrades are completed efficiently.
  • Work with external contractors and suppliers to maintain smooth site operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated operational issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably with hands-on experience in maintaining distributed systems in EV charging infrastructure, energy, or related sectors (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems, Telecom networks, industrial machinery, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of DC Fast Charging technology and associated equipment.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, developing technician programs, and overseeing multi-site operations.
  • Experience with overseeing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs is a plus.
  • Specific experience in managing maintenance of distributed equipment or assets across multiple locations or facilities.
  • Experience with fleet management, especially utilizing service vans (preferably Rivian or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and technical challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with data monitoring systems and a data-driven approach to operations management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Rivian Sprinter vans and their use in field service operations.
  • Familiarity with EV charging standards, compliance, and safety protocols.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, control systems, and the specific equipment being used within the organization.
  • Experience in planning, executing, and managing large maintenance projects, including budget control, resource allocation, and timeline management.

  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards (OSHA, ISO) and environmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians. Experience in managing teams across multiple sites or distributed locations can be essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
