Ice Castles is an awe-inspiring, must-see winter phenomenon that brings fairytales to life. The frozen attraction is located in cities across North America. Ice Castles is built entirely by hand using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, and fountains.

Ice Castles is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Event Manager to oversee the guest-facing operations at our location. As the Event Manager, you will ensure that Ice Castles and our event staff provide each guest with a safe, magical, and memorable experience. You will be part of the local senior leadership team, where you will lead the Event team, focusing on hiring, training, scheduling, and guiding a group of passionate individuals who share our enthusiasm for Ice Castles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all guest-facing operations and ensure each visitor enjoys a safe and magical experience.
• Lead, hire, train, and schedule a team of 30-40 part-time staff members, including event team leads.
• Foster a positive and engaging culture in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Maintain timely communication with other Ice Castles team members throughout the event life cycle.
• Collaborate closely with Ice Castles builders to ensure the venue's physical structure meets high standards.
• Create and maintain strong vendor and community partnerships.

HOURS: This position is Full Time Seasonal, with full time hours between November and March.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in event management or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to create and sustain a positive team culture.
• Comfortable working autonomously with support from a remote corporate team.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with local community contacts.
• Out-of-the-box thinker who can meet deadlines and maintain effective communication.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and respond to emergency situations.
• Physical ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift or move up to 10 pounds.

PAY: Starting at $30 CA per Hour
