About the role


As a Senior Consultant within our Strategy & Consulting Practice, you will bring expertise in optimizing product information management (PIM) systems and processes, ensuring accurate and consistent product data across all sales channels by analyzing existing data structures, identifying improvement areas, designing data governance strategies, and implementing PIM solutions to streamline data flow and enhance customer experience. . You will be adept at navigating technical challenges with a problem-solving mindset and work independently to deliver solutions. 

You will have a background in identifying data quality problems and finding solutions to fix them and extensive experience collaborating with global clients and key vendors to address product data challenges. You stay current with industry trends and MarTech tools and bring a strategic perspective to your work. 

As a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in product data, you will serve as a trusted advisor within the Strategy & Consulting Practice. You will provide specialized consultancy expertise on both billable and non-billable projects, driving success in engagements related to product data management. 

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, multi-year consultancy delivery expertise, exemplary communication, and strong client-facing engagement to navigate both day-to-day operations and complex project opportunities and client challenges. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Quickly understand client business issues, industries and competitors and leverage your years of experience and that of the wider ICP team to help clients articulate their needs and ICP propose solutions.  
  • Primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building relationships, managing expectations and project timelines to ensure engagements run smoothly.  
  • Deliver on billable consultancy projects for ICP’s global clients and accounts. This may include facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews, carrying out traditional business analysis tasks, market and competitive research, and so forth. 
  • Leading a team of ICP colleagues on engagements and managing delivery and quality.  
  • Accountable for the creation of or contributing to consulting outputs such as discovery findings, roadmaps, requirements, process maps or related project documentation, tactical and strategic recommendations.  
  • Provide guidance to partner agencies, ecom teams and sales teams to optimize and standardized way of sharing product data efficiently and with quality.  
  • Lead GDSN implementations expansion in other markets per company priority  
  • Establish stewardship and expertise for this important syndication channel across key markets.  

 

  • Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes. 
  • Identify the processes, change, information technology and data optimisations required to introduce your recommendations. 
  • Articulate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern. 
  • Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.  
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. 
  • Engagement skills with multidisciplinary stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from business-as-usual operators to leadership. 
  • Ability to manage projects and / or programs to ensure high quality delivery and communication from the project team to the client stakeholders, including risk management and mitigation planning. 

 

Best Practice and Industry Analysis 

  • Work with the CoE Consultants, and Solution Leads - to develop and implement relevant industry best practice knowledge, toolkits and thought leadership content. 
  • Carry out analysis and research programs to produce Product Data and Digital Shelf industry research and insights.   

 

Collaboration 

  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to establish additional best practices and ensure alignment with ICP's strategic objectives. 
  • Develop deep partnerships and relationships within Consulting, and across our Solutions Group and Client Services Group, encouraging knowledge-sharing, creating awareness, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

Client Facing Engagement 

  • Lead or support high-profile client delivery programs, especially for strategic engagements. 
  • Demonstrate expertise in communicating with senior client stakeholders. 

 

 

What You’ll Have: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field with 5 years of experience in technology, process or transformation consulting within marketing ops, commerce ops, creative ops, media ops or related domains. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in a client-facing agency or consulting role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience of working in a data-driven environment and familiar with some of the major solution types for product data such as PIM and PXM 
  • Understanding of Salsify is a plus 
  • Ability to understand product data management needs across the product lifecycle – beginning at product concept, through to post-product delivery 
  • Experience with product information management concepts from intake, source management and syndication 
  • Experience implementing GDSN in an enterprise environment 
  • An understanding of product hierarchies and taxonomies 
  • An understanding of system integrations 
  • Familiarity with areas such as marketing operations, content operations, digital shelf/e-commerce, and digital transformation across content ecosystems. 
  • Significant experience working with global clients, multi-country programs and distributed stakeholder groups. 
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge across relevant industry segments. 
  • Understanding agile methodologies and Jira/Confluence tools  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an influential, clear, and collaborative style. 
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and a natural curiosity to drive innovation. 
  • Track record of excellent engagement, relationship development and management with senior client stakeholders and sponsors. 
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and lead discussions with clients, colleagues, and leaders. 
  • Strong proficiency in project and program management principles.  
  • Energetic can-do attitude; autonomous and motivated, with good problem-solving skills 
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
