About the role
As the Senior Manager, Information Management within the Content Management & Logistics Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for driving strategy, efficiency, and leadership for the content operations of one or more client accounts. You will oversee and guide the execution of critical information management processes, ensure the smooth functioning of digital asset workflows, and drive excellence in client delivery.
This is a key leadership role where you will manage a team of information management professionals responsible for asset organization, metadata strategy, and content logistics across global markets. You will serve as a trusted advisor for clients, helping them optimize their digital ecosystems to meet evolving business objectives. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining best practices, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in content operations.
This hybrid role is based in the United Kingdom with some travel required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients across global locations.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Content Management & Logistics Strategy
- Develop and Implement Content Management Strategies: Lead the development of comprehensive content management and logistics strategies, aligned with both ICP’s business goals and client objectives. Ensure that digital assets are optimized for global distribution and can be accessed by stakeholders quickly and easily.
- Governance and Data Standardization: Establish and enforce governance policies to ensure metadata consistency, content quality, and accuracy throughout the asset lifecycle. Develop tagging strategies and taxonomy structures that meet the unique needs of clients across various marketing platforms.
- Content Flow Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline content flow across systems, ensuring assets are delivered on time, in the right formats, and to the right recipients. Optimize internal processes for storing, retrieving, and delivering content to maximize speed and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of content managers, logistics coordinators, and digital asset specialists. Provide continuous development opportunities, foster innovation, and create a positive work environment that motivates the team to meet their goals.
DAM Oversight
- DAM System Implementation and Management: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of DAM systems. Ensure systems are user-friendly, scalable, and able to support the logistics of large volumes of assets.
- System Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate DAM platforms with other MarTech systems, content creation tools, and distribution channels, ensuring seamless and automated workflows.
- Content Security and Compliance: Ensure content is securely managed throughout its lifecycle, implementing security protocols that protect assets from unauthorized access, theft, or loss. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in the management and storage of digital assets.
Content Logistics & Distribution
- Efficient Asset Delivery: Oversee the logistics of content delivery, ensuring that marketing assets are efficiently distributed to global teams, clients, and external agencies in a timely and organized manner.
- Platform Management and Reporting: Lead the management of content distribution platforms, ensuring that assets are properly categorized, tagged, and ready for deployment across different channels. Generate reports that track asset usage, ensuring that content is being delivered in accordance with campaign and marketing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, creative, and production teams to ensure content logistics and asset management processes align with broader marketing initiatives and campaign goals. Collaborate with teams to anticipate content needs and ensure efficient workflow during peak marketing cycles.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and maintain KPIs for content management and logistics processes, tracking asset retrieval times, delivery speeds, system uptime, and data accuracy. Analyze performance data and provide insights to optimize workflows and logistics operations.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess the content management and logistics workflows to identify areas for process improvement, automation, or system upgrades. Implement new technologies and solutions that enhance asset delivery and reduce friction in content workflows.
- Risk Management and Audits: Conduct regular audits of content systems and processes to identify any gaps or inefficiencies. Implement corrective actions and risk management strategies to address issues such as asset misplacement, security vulnerabilities, or non-compliance with governance policies.
Client-Facing Engagement & Collaboration
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with global stakeholders, including brand teams, agencies, and external partners, to understand their content needs and expectations. Collaborate closely with clients to ensure content delivery meets their quality standards and is aligned with campaign goals.
- Client Reporting & Insights: Provide clients with regular updates on content logistics and digital asset management performance. Deliver actionable insights on content usage, asset performance, and operational improvements, helping clients optimize their digital asset strategies.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support for internal teams and clients on content management best practices, DAM usage, and logistical coordination. Help clients and stakeholders stay up-to-date with new technologies and changes in content distribution processes.
What You'll Have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Management, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in digital asset management (DAM), content logistics, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing global teams and content distribution processes.
- Content Operations Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage complex content workflows, including taxonomy development, metadata management, and implementing content governance frameworks in large organizations.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience with DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe, AEM), content management systems (CMS), and workflow automation tools, along with a strong understanding of system integrations and MarTech ecosystems.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, deliver large-scale projects on time and within budget, and optimize operational workflows to meet evolving client needs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
MarTech and DAM Expertise: In-depth experience with MarTech platforms and advanced knowledge of DAM systems, content creation tools, and content distribution channels.
- Global Content Operations: Experience working in global organizations with multiple stakeholders across different time zones and cultures.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance regulations for managing and storing digital assets (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Creative and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess content performance, logistics, and asset usage, and recommend improvements.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in industries like advertising, entertainment, e-commerce, or other content-intensive sectors.
