Position Description

Sellers Dorsey is seeking an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis for the Philadelphia office (hybrid) who will support management, as well as Accounting, by analyzing data and providing reports to communicate critical financial performance and information. The FP&A team sits at the center of the organization and this role will be instrumental in ensuring management has complete and accurate data used to make decisions to achieve the financial and operational goals of the firm. A successful candidate will have exceptional critical thinking skills and a high attention to detail, and strong experience with financial data analysis. This individual should also have strong working experience in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, as well as financial database and ERP software.
 
Responsibilities/Duties
  • Gather and interpret critical financial and operational data to develop analytical reports to communicate results to management on a monthly basis.
  • Identify trends, variances, & inefficiencies by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets and forecasts
  • Actively partner with functional areas including management, Accounting, & operations to improve internal reporting processes and timelines.
  • Prepare monthly profitability analysis reports for all projects.
  • Assist with maintaining firm’s revenue projection sheets as well as tracking portfolio for all contingency based projects.
  • Utilize data from company’s time and expense system to prepare and analyze staff utilization rates and forecast resources needed for efficient staffing of projects.
  • Take on additional tasks or ad hoc projects & reporting as needed related to reporting on the firm’s finance & operations functions.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in finance and/or data reporting, or Financial Analyst role.
  • Strong analytical, data analysis, data collection, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create basic financial models for use as tools in building revenue, forecasting pro forma P&L’s, and creating pricing models.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience working with an ERP / CRM systems and reporting & analysis tools; knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
  • SQL experience is a real plus. 
Working Conditions
  • Work from the Philadelphia office 2 days a week and remotely 3 days a week (Hybrid Model).
  • Prolonged periods of standing/sitting at a desk and working on a computer & keyboard.
Compensation & Benefits 

The anticipated salary range for candidates is $71,900/year in our lowest geographic market range to up to $107,900/year in our highest geographic market range. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 7% of annual salary. 

Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave.
