About the Role


Sellers Dorsey is seeking an Engagement Director who will serve as the overall owner and accountable leader for large, complex, multi-million-dollar, multi-year healthcare transformation engagements. These engagements combine large scale SaaS implementations across a large number of provider locations with strategic consulting in the Medicaid and rural health space for major providers operating within state systems. As the Engagement Director responsible for end-to-end engagement ownership, including client relationship leadership, integrated delivery across multiple workstreams, financial performance, executive governance, and long-term value realization, you will lead complex, politically charged programs – managing executive dynamics across the form and client environments. You will also operate as the primary executive point of contact and is accountable for outcomes and coordination of Sellers Dorsey efforts across delivery teams.


Key Responsibilities


1-Engagement Ownership & Executive Leadership: Own the overall client relationship and serve as the primary executive leader responsible for engagement success, credibility, and trust:

  • Lead executive-level discussions with confidence and authority.
  • Manage strong executive personalities and competing agendas.
  • Set and rest expectations with senior stakeholders.
  • Represent the firm with credibility in high-stakes settings.

2-Integrated Program Leadership & Decision-Making: Lead and integrate all engagement workstreams through judgment-based decision-making rather than procedural control:

  • Synthesize inputs across SaaS, advisory, and change teams into executive-ready direction.
  • Make trade-off decisions and course corrections in real time.
  • Maintain clarity of direction amid ambiguity and shifting priorities.

3-SaaS Implementation Oversight: Provide senior oversight for large-scale SaaS deployment while delegating execution to delivery leads:

  • Hold implementation leaders accountable for outcomes.
  • Manage executive expectations around readiness, sequencing, and adoption.
  • Focus on enterprise adoption and value realization, not technical minutiae.

4-Financial & Commercial Ownership: Own engagement financial health and commercial decision-making:

  • Manage burn, margin, and scope trade-offs.
  • Engage executives in financially informed decisions.
  • Balance relationship management with fiscal discipline.

5-Risk, Issue, and Executive Alignment Management: Anticipate and manage risks driven by executive misalignment, policy dynamics, and organizational behavior:

  • Surface risks early and frame them in executive-relevant terms.
  • Navigate conflict without escalating tension.
  • Maintain alignment across internal and client leadership.

6-Change Leadership & Value Realization: Ensure sustained adoption and value realization by reinforcing leadership intent across the organization:

  • Align executives on change expectations.
  • Reinforce accountability for adoption outcomes.
  • Maintain focus on long-term value.


Key Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent graduate degree).
  • Height (8)+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, engagement leadership, or large-scale program deliver in the Healthcare sector. Healthcare SaaS experience preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Prosci or equivalent required.
  • Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery certifications required.
  • Must demonstrate executive presence, composure, and credibility when engaging senior internal and client leaders.
  • Must be comfortable managing executive attitudes, resistance, and conflict without escalation or loss of trust.
  • Must be able to lead leaders, not just manage tasks.
  • Must exercise sound judgment under ambiguity and sustained pressure.
  • Advanced user of Smartsheet.
  • High proficiency in MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint / OneDrive.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite of products.


Other Requirement

  • Travel required 20-30%; varies by engagement and phase.


Compensation & Benefits 


The anticipated salary range for candidates is $140,300/year in our lowest geographic market range to up to $180,000/year in our highest geographic market range. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 15% of annual salary. 


Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short-term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave. The foregoing benefits and paid time off, including an employee’s eligibility therefore, will be controlled by applicable plan documents and Sellers Dorsey policy.
