About the Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Learning & Development Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving our talent development initiatives and ensuring our team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in Client Services.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Program Design: Create, develop, and implement cutting-edge learning and development programs that align with our Client Services goals and objectives.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage multiple technologies to drive a variety of projects, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and staff in both Client Servicing and Corporate areas.
  • Adult Learning Expertise: Apply principles of adult learning, instructional design, and talent development to enhance our workforce's growth and success.
  • Talent Management: Develop and execute talent management programs focused on Medicaid, politics, and healthcare analysis.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop solutions that support the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Content Expansion: Work cross-functionally to expand Sellers Dorsey's existing Medicaid learning content, ensuring alignment with the firm’s capabilities.
  • Analytical Insight: Utilize analytical and strategic skills to contribute to our Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Curiosity and Adaptability: Thrive in ambiguity, demonstrating curiosity and understanding of Medicaid and program regulations and requirements.

Key Duties

  • Design and implement effective training programs using various delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and best practices related to learning and development.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources or Health Policy.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and delivering web-based training in a corporate environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an instructional design or curriculum developer role.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs is a real plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Intermediate Articulate Storyline and Rise, basic Vyond or other video editing/creation software, basic Canva.

Other requirements

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Understanding research methods, processes, and other related matters.  
  • Demonstrates effective collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting.
  • Experience in building engaging blended learning programs and tools. 
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and SMEs in analyzing training needs. 
  • Able to provide work samples.

Compensation & Benefits 


The anticipated salary range for candidates is $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market range to up to $75,000/year in our highest geographic market range. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 7% of annual salary. 


Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave. The foregoing benefits and paid time off, including an employee’s eligibility therefore, will be controlled by applicable plan documents and Sellers Dorsey policy.
