Job Title: HR Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000


Position Summary

iEducate is seeking an HR Specialist to oversee the onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations for tutors and staff, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage onboarding for tutors and staff, ensuring completion of background checks, I-9s, and compliance requirements.
  • Support HR operations, including recruitment, personnel management, benefits, and performance management.
  • Oversee tutor HR processes, including performance management, policy updates, and handling complaints.
  • Manage relationship  with district partners to ensure tutors successfully complete all district compliance onboarding requirements including background checks
  • Conduct exit interviews and oversee offboarding processes.
  • Maintain HR documentation and support staff with policy-related inquiries.
  • Support whole organization compliance and culture initiatives 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred
  • 3-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • Experience in HR operations, compliance, or employee relations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders alongside excellent communication skills for resolving issues. The ideal candidate will also have strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
