Role Overview
As an Accountant at Ignite Spot, you’ll play a vital role in telling each client’s financial story with clarity and strategic insight. You’ll leverage a modern tech stack and proven processes to deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll guide clients in understanding their numbers, identifying opportunities, and making informed business decisions.

Key Objectives
- Deliver accurate, timely work that meets client and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Coaching & Education: Lead coaching calls to explain key financial metrics (e.g., gross profit, inventory turnover, financial trends) and empower clients to confidently understand their finances.
- Financial Oversight & Review: Review bookkeepers’ work for accuracy, maintain software integrations, handle adjustments, verify reconciliations, and ensure a clean, reliable balance sheet.
- Process & Systems Management: Oversee accounting processes, implement and monitor improvements, and clearly communicate changes to clients. Manage and optimize clients’ technology stacks, recommend tools, and advise on inventory platforms.
- Compliance & Payroll: Oversee sales tax systems and payroll processes, recommend HR platforms, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Collaboration & Meetings: Participate in one-on-one meetings with the Director of Accounting and bookkeepers, join bi-monthly Accounting Division Huddles, and work cross-functionally with leadership to ensure services stay within scope and meet client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of Client Accounting Services experience, or 5 years at Ignite Spot
- QuickBooks Online Level 2 Certification and proficiency with relevant apps and project management tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working directly with clients and in a remote environment
- Ability to maintain software certifications within the Ignite Spot stack (additional certifications with approval)

The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 70,000 USD per year (United States of America)
