We are highly trained specialists in pelvic floor dysfunction, inclusive but not limited to sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fertility, incontinence, pregnancy-related issues and pain, bowel issues, sexual trauma and general women’s and men’s health issues. 

About the role

  • Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the populations and age groups that will be receiving services.

  • Communication skills. Massage therapists need to listen carefully to clients in order to understand what they want to achieve through massage sessions.

  • Decision-making skills. Massage therapists must evaluate each client’s needs and recommend the best treatment on the basis of that person’s needs.

  • Empathy. Massage therapists must give clients a positive experience, which requires building trust between therapist and client. Making clients feel comfortable is necessary for therapists to expand their client base.

  • We provide:
    - scheduling, documentation system and admin services 
    - collection of payment 
    - private treatment room in boutique, luxury physiotherapy suite with favorable consistency. 
    - fully equipped large private treatment room with soundproofing, hi lo table, loveseat, desk, sheets, pillows, laundry on site, etc. 

What you'll do

  • Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most.

  • Talk with clients about their symptoms, medical history, and desired results. Screen for red flags, precautions, and make appropriate referrals.

  • Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body.

  • Manipulate muscles and other soft tissues of the body.

  • Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as desired.

  • Document clients’ conditions and progress.

  • Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients.

  • Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive client outcomes.

  • Use gender-affirming, trauma informed language and care.

  • Practice hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

  • Follow applicable laws, inclusive of HIPAA.

  • Maintain professional license in good standing.

  • Help to maintain a safe and clean clinical working environment for staff and clients.

  • Accountable and timely for documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active massage therapy license in the state of Maryland.  Must possess and provide evidence of current professional liability insurance. 

  • Prenatal/Pregnancy massage preferred.
