Campaigns Manager

About the role:


The Campaign Manager (or Senior Campaign Manager, depending on experience) is a campaigner/organizer responsible for turning grassroots energy into strategic power through constituency-specific campaigns. This role channels the energy and skills of Indivisible members into structures, communities, and strategies that build long-term collective power.

The Campaign Manager will oversee Indivisible’s constituency organizing programs (Communities and Cohorts), manage their daily operations, and ensure that member-led, constituency-specific actions are consistent, strategic, and compliant with general legal and Indivisible guidelines. They will play a key role in the development of additional constituency-based caucuses in the future and provide support to campaigns and programs across Indivisible as needed.


The ideal candidate has experience managing volunteers, cultivating member engagement, and applying organizing and political strategy. They are motivated by building sustainable power, excel at fostering belonging across diverse constituencies (BIPOC, Rural, LGBTQ+, Youth), and can translate community energy into impactful, constituency-rooted campaigns.


This position will report to the Director of Campaigns.


(Manager Salary: $66,650 - $93,000 USD)

(Senior Manager Salary: $77,900 - $108,150 USD)


What you'll do:


Campaign & Project Coordination - 45%

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Indivisible’s constituency-specific organizing programs and campaigns.
  • Coordinate caucus activities for the BIPOC and Rural Caucuses, including organizing monthly calls and public calls to action, planning meetings, developing agendas, managing communications, and supporting member-led initiatives.
  • Contribute to program growth by developing and launching new identity- or constituency-based caucuses (e.g., LGBTQ+, Youth) in collaboration with staff, leaders, and members.
  • Ensure compliance and alignment by reviewing caucus projects and member-led actions to meet legal requirements, internal guidelines, and strategic priorities
  • Manage staff and volunteers engaged in caucus work, providing guidance, accountability, and support to ensure smooth operations and active member participation.
  • Track and analyze engagement by monitoring participation metrics, identifying trends, and gathering member feedback to strengthen caucus programming and campaign impact.

Volunteer & Group Development - 45%

  • Develop scalable resources and trainings tailored to key constituencies (BIPOC, Rural) that empower members to take effective campaign action.
  • Facilitate member integration into cohort spaces to foster belonging, alignment, and engagement.
  • Maintain recruitment pipelines to sustain participation in caucuses and community spaces.
  • Support leadership development pathways that strengthen member organizing skills and capacity over time.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from members to continuously refine trainings, resources, and engagement strategies.

Cross-Organizational Collaboration & Strategic Support - 10%

  • Work with staff across departments to align campaign actions with broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure 501C3 compliance in all calls to action and member-facing programs.
  • Provide input on strategic campaign planning rooted in grassroots member priorities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in community organizing, campaign management, or grassroots advocacy, including relevant volunteer experience.
  • Strong grasp of organizing fundamentals and base-building strategies.
  • Strong commitment to progressive values, equity, and inclusion, with a proven ability to apply cultural competency to build relationships and foster belonging across diverse communities (e.g., BIPOC, immigrant, rural, LGBTQ+, youth) and across lines of difference.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support both volunteers and staff in achieving campaign goals.
  • Experience coordinating projects, meetings, or programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to develop trainings, resources, or tools that support grassroots leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience building and sustaining coalitions and partnerships across organizations and constituencies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with 501(c)(3) campaign compliance or willingness to learn and apply compliance standards.
  • Political acumen with the ability to assess power and strategy in campaign contexts.
  • Proficiency with digital organizing tools and platforms for member engagement (e.g., EveryAction, Mobilize, ActionKit, or similar CRMs).
  • Strong data management and reporting skills (e.g., tracking participation, CRM usage, or evaluation).
