Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the role: 


We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with the development and product teams to design, develop, and execute automated tests, maintain comprehensive test suites, and lead regression testing efforts. You will ensure smooth, reliable releases by certifying builds through rigorous testing and will investigate production issues, using test automation to prevent future occurrences. Your work will be critical to maintaining the highest level of software quality and performance as we scale our AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a role as an SDET or similar position, with a proven track record of automating functional, regression, performance, and load tests.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Golang, Python, or similar languages is required.
  • Strong expertise in testing REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket services, including designing detailed test cases for API layers.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing test runs for backend services and APIs, with experience in CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Experience in testing web-based applications and websites, including UI testing and cross-browser compatibility testing in React-based applications.
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools in the JavaScript ecosystem, such as Cypress, Puppeteer, Selenium or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of git branching, tagging, and code deployment best practices. 
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration systems in cloud environments (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS).
  • Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines from scratch, particularly using GitHub Actions, with the ability to define triggering, execution, and monitoring processes.
  • Expertise in integrating and optimizing existing test suites (e.g., E2E tests) within GitHub Actions, ensuring efficient execution through practices like parallelization, caching, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with audio technologies and protocols, such as WebRTC, and testing voice-based RPA systems is a plus but not required.
