DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join Inkit. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our software development lifecycle by implementing efficient processes, tools, and automation. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline deployments, optimize infrastructure, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes.

  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, leveraging services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and implement best practices for scalability and reliability.

  • Implement security best practices and compliance requirements within the DevOps pipeline and infrastructure.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development and operations.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Familiarity with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.
  • Experience with deploying service-meshed Kubernetes clusters (e.g., Istio)
  • Experience in dealing with hardened systems to meet security compliance standards (DoD STIG, HIPAA, banking, etc)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipelines.
  • Must have experience working with AWS cloud services, with Google Cloud Platform experience as a plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
