Position Overview:

Inseego is hiring a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer for an onsite role in San Diego, CA. The position involves managing the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise-level systems and infrastructure. The engineer works independently, leads projects, contributes to design efforts, mentors junior staff, and supports end users—including executive (C-suite) support. The role also includes participation in HR onboarding/offboarding and acting as a Subject Matter Expert in at least one IT specialty.

Responsibilities: 

• Support on-premise and cloud-based global compute/storage infrastructure. Assist in design on-premise and cloud solutions for IT & Product/Engineering Infrastructure.
• Lead projects, implement new solutions and technology autonomously while providing documentation.
• Remotely manage Windows & Linux servers, improve systems automation & patch management using SCCM and like toolsets. Monitoring, and troubleshooting. Access control & OS/application diagnostics.
• Support and manage Azure and AWS environments. Virtual Machine & Network design/provisioning, patch management, application hardening etc. Global Subscription & Billing management & reporting.
• Support and manage Cloudflare environment. Including all global domains & DNS management, documentation, standardization & consolidation behind Cloudflare Proxy & WAF.
• Support and manage Mimecast email security environment. Advanced Policy configuration & message trace diagnostics.
• Remotely manage Mac workstations
• Support and manage on-prem & Azure-based Hybrid Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Exchange Hybrid Server, & Exchange Online mailboxes & configurations. System design, implementation and support.
• Support and manage Microsoft 365/Azure AD/Entra ID tenant settings, policies, including Microsoft Security & Purview Compliance Portal.
• Assist with Atlassian Application Administration & Configurations inc. JIRA, JSM, Confluence, BitBucket, Fisheye/Crucible.
• Second level end-user support services (laptops, printers, application issues, etc).
• Server and application monitoring (PRTG/Zabbix or similar toolsets).

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred or combination of education and progressive experience and a minimum of 4 years experience.
• A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, VCP, CCNA and vendor certifications or higher is preferred.
• Experience managing AWS and Azure Virtual Machines & related infrastructure/configurations.
• All current versions of Macs, Microsoft Windows Desktop/Server OS, Active Directory, Group policy design/implementation.
• Advanced Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD Tenant Admin Experience & Exchange Online. Including SAML-based SSO Application configuration, Conditional Access Policies, & Authentication Policies/MFA.
• Advanced Microsoft Security & Compliance Portal experience.
• Experience with Cloudflare or related Global Website CDN/WAF Solutions. Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust Platform/Cloudflare Tunnels a plus.
• Experience with Mimecast or related SMTP/Email Security Solutions.
• Experience managing Azure Virtual Machines & related infrastructure/configurations.
• Experience managing public CA certificate renewals & documentation.
• Experience with SCCM a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune Endpoint a plus.
• Security monitoring, log management, log correlation a plus.
• Microsoft Teams Full administration (including Teams Phone System).
• On Prem Virtual Stack - vSphere ESXi 5.5/6.x & XCP-ng.
• Disaster Recovery Architecture design and testing to Plan.
• Experience implementing advanced Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Zero Trust Network Topologies via Micro Segmentation.
• Network Management – Firewall, AP, Switch and Route.
• Windows OS, Active Directory - Hybrid, Group policy design/implementation.

Salary Range: $120,000-$145,000
