Position Overview:

Inseego is on the search for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Research & Development business function. The Senior Software Engineer will support our Platform team and require technical work on designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting our existing core web product as well as establishing future technical strategies and architecture for the next generation of capabilities. Ideal candidate will also have In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and remediation options. We are looking for an engineer skilled in both web application, database development, and security related best practices in an AWS environment. You will develop, test, and maintain a scalable, robust SaaS customer facing web application. 

Responsibilities: 

• Hands on PHP development in a LAMP environment 
• Work within the engineering team and other teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions within Inseego 
• Work with product owners and other stakeholders to understand desired application capabilities and test scenarios 
• Enhance support and maintain existing applications and new application development 
• The ability to train lower technical staff 
• Work both independently and as part of a team 
• Assist in collecting application requirements, application design, testing, and documentation 
• Meaningful input on new application design 
• Develop solutions for data transfer, interchange, and integration problems with other systems 

 Required Qualifications:  

• US citizenship is required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 4 or more years’ experience. 
• 5 or more years of full stack software development experience in an enterprise environment 
• 3 or more years of hands-on development experience using PHP or equivalent backend Object-Oriented language and MySQL (MariaDb) 
• 1 or more years’ of experience with Docker or Podman 
• At least 1 year of experience with software architecture and design  
• Requires strong, hands-on DDD development skills & experience  
• In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and remediation options. 
• Linux / Unix CLI experience is a huge plus, preferably bash 
• Familiarity with alternative storage technologies and tools such as: Redis, OpenSearch (Elasticsearch) and Beanstalk/SQS/SNS 
• Experience in PHP frameworks like Laravel/Lumen or Symfony is a plus 
• General understanding of security practices and threats as it pertains to web development 
• Familiar with design patterns and development practices 
• Deep understanding of Agile principles and processes 
• Significant and varied professional experience in leading SAAS and web applications especially at the enterprise level – a plus  
• Ability to adapt with changing technologies & frameworks 
• Ability to learn new skills, tools, development kits, frameworks, etc. 
• Appreciation for well-documented code and website / web service security 
• Constant verbal and written communication with colleagues 
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision 

Salary Range: $91,000–$120,000
