About the role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our overall quality strategy. You’ll go beyond executing tests by defining frameworks, influencing product architecture for testability, and mentoring others in adopting automation best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and strong collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
What you'll do
- Own the Quality Strategy: Drive the definition and execution of the QA roadmap, ensuring quality is embedded into every stage of mobile product development.
- Partner Across Teams: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to influence feature design, acceptance criteria, and implementation decisions, improving testability and overall product quality.
- Ensure Full Test Coverage: Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, balancing automation and manual testing across regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Lead Incident and Defect Management: Triage complex defects, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable insights to engineering teams.
- Drive Effective Prioritization: Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and resolve quality issues efficiently, with a strong focus on release readiness.
- Contribute to Cross-Functional Excellence: Actively participate in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives, bringing a quality-first mindset to product and release discussions.
- Drive Mobile Automation Strategy: Design, build, and maintain mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in QA, with strong ownership of quality processes for mobile applications.
- Proven hands-on experience in mobile test automation (iOS & Android), including UI E2E and API testing.
- Strong experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g. Appium), with solid TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Strong skills in requirements analysis, test planning, and defect management.
- Solid understanding of mobile app lifecycles, frontend–backend communication, and REST APIs.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to proactively drive quality discussions.
