About the role
As a Billing Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operation of the company's billing system, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the billing process. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee the precise generation, timely delivery of customer bills, and subscriptions, invoices, and the proper handling of related issues.
What you'll do
- Oversee the day - to - day operations of systems. Ensure that bill data is accurately entered into the financial system and support the preparation of financial statements. Proactively identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks before they impact business operations.
- Assist in managing subscription billing cycles, ensuring accuracy in customer invoices, handling billing inquiries, and assisting with the overall subscription lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing processes and contribute to the overall efficiency and growth of the organization.
- Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, scalability, and cost – effectiveness. Research and recommend new technologies or system upgrades that can enhance the overall performance of the systems. Collaborate with other teams to optimize billing process for better system integration and performance.
- Provide technical support to the teams for system - related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve system problems promptly to minimize disruption to business operations. Develop and maintain system training materials and documentation to help the teams effectively utilize company systems. Gather the teams feedback on system usability and functionality, and work with relevant teams to make necessary improvements.
- Communicate with customers to assist in resolving bill - related issues and maintain good customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or related fields.
- 2 + years experience in a fast-paced Saas environment, or work experience in billing management, financial operations, or related fields.
- Proficiency in English.
- The ability to work autonomously is crucial. The candidate should be self - motivated and capable of taking initiative in their tasks, often without close supervision. Additionally, flexibility in work hours is necessary to accommodate different time zones for international collaboration and to meet the demands of a dynamic billing process, which may involve urgent tasks.
- Good understanding of technical and system and related practices.
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
- Excellent organizing abilities, great attention to detail, and good team-work spirit.
