Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed design packages with minimal supervision.
- Perform field reviews and translate conditions into accurate designs.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and permitting agencies.
- Coordinate material lists and support constructability reviews.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and local codes.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of distribution design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and work management tools.
- Solid understanding of electric distribution systems and utility design standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Typical Project Types:
- Pole replacements and change-outs
- Overhead-to-overhead line extensions
- Underground service installations
- Minor reconductoring projects
- Routine relocations for conflicts (e.g., road widening)
