About the role
- The Aerial Groundhand will be responsible for assisting with general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.
What you'll do
- Assist in all phases of underground construction including but not limited to: Loading, unloading, driving, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weights of construction materials and equipment.
- Assist in installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/ vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Be able to hand dig using a shovel.
- Be able to climb in and out of equipment.
- Be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Be able to perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/ Supervisor.
- The applicant should be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Have basic knowledge and ability to operate various types of utility equipment in a safe manner.
- Have basic knowledge and ability to handle tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Have valid driver license, to operate company equipment/vehicle
