What you'll do

  • Prepping cable, building splice cases, troubleshooting continuity issues
  • Using fusion splice equipment single and mass fusion
  • Ability interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Ability to read and understand splicing documentation
  • Full understanding of how to operate and read OTDR trace files
  • Troubleshoot and repair impairments or damages in fiber
  • Strong understanding of OSP/ISP fiber construction
  • Familiar with Fiber Cables ranging from 12-432ct
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends on occasion. When possible, advance scheduling notice will be provided for these off- hour shifts
  • Bring service to the end customer, and satisfy the work order requirements. It is rewarding work, but requires strong worth ethic and a can-do attitude for success
  • Ability to be professional in appearance, when interacting with others, and when communicating at all times
  • Responsible for tracking daily work tasks and reporting production to your supervisor

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE a valid driver license
  • Preferred minimum 1 year of experience
  • Comfortable with heights and confined spaces (Some possible bucket truck work)
  • Self-starter but also able to work closely with other team members
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering drawings and schematics
  • Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 35 USD per hour (Oregon)
