About The Role:
The DevSecOps Engineer role is responsible for integrating security into every stage of our development lifecycle. The position will report to the DevSecOps Manager. The DevSecOps will identify vulnerabilities, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards. They will need to have a deep expertise in AWS, web application security, networking, and internal security practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement and maintain security measures across AWS infrastructure.
- Manage and monitor web application security, including SSL/TLS certificates, WAFs, and OWASP guidelines.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of web apps and networks.
- Automate security processes and integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and monitor network security, including VPCs, firewalls, and IAM policies.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches and mitigate risks promptly.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to enforce security best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and implement mitigations accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS.
- Proficiency in web security tools and technologies such as SSL/TLS, OWASP ZAP, or Burp Suite.
- Experience with networking and security configurations (e.g., VPNs, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integrating security scans.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with compliance standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialist, CEH, or CISSP.
- Knowledge of container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with security incident response frameworks.

- Onsite role in San Diego, CA or Columbus, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
