About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for an Embedded Systems Engineer II to join our team in San Diego, CA reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. As an Embedded Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining firmware for embedded medical devices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze Requirements
- Identify the right development environment for the coding task
- Collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineers to understand the embedded system as well as peripheral systems
- Estimate effort for project planning
- Design and Develop Embedded Systems
- Research capabilities and limitations of hardware components
- Write and Debug firmware code
- Test and Validate Embedded Systems
- Design automated and manual tests to verify firmware is functioning
- Participate in root cause analysis between teams to limit and prevent feature regression
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Experience working with micro controllers and real-time operating systems
- Experience implementing communication protocols (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C)
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems
- Experience with RFID technology is a plus
- Experience with Medical Devices is a plus

- Onsite role in San Diego, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

95,000 - 116,000 USD per year (Corporate San Diego)
