About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a Head of Development to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to the Executive Vice President/COO. As a Head of Development, you will be responsible for leading our technology, DevOps, Development, QA Testing, and innovation strategies in the dynamic field of MedTech. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Development will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions, managing cloud infrastructure, overseeing software design, ensuring the successful delivery of mission-critical applications and systems, and maintaining robust IT operations. This role is pivotal in shaping the technological foundation that supports our commitment to delivering high-quality, life-enhancing medical products.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, providing insights on emerging technologies and their potential impact on the business.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and excellence across technology teams.
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability and performance of cloud-based systems to support business continuity.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Software Design and Development
- Oversee the architecture, design, and development of software solutions that power mission-critical medical applications and systems.
- Ensure all software meets regulatory and compliance standards for the medical technology industry.
- Promote modern development practices, including DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Mission-Critical Systems
- Direct the development and maintenance of secure, reliable, and high-performance systems that underpin manufacturing processes and medical device functionality.
- Implement strategies for risk mitigation, disaster recovery, and system redundancy to maintain operational resilience.
- IT Operations
- Manage the company’s IT operations, ensuring seamless integration and performance of all technology systems.
- Lead efforts to protect the organization from cyber threats, ensuring adherence to best practices in IT security and compliance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT initiatives and overall system reliability.
- Team Development and Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the technology organization to drive innovation and creativity.
- Empower teams to take ownership and accountability for their contributions to company success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in technology roles, including cloud infrastructure, software development, and IT operations.
- Proven success in a senior technology leadership role within the medical technology, healthcare, or manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies.
- Proficiency in modern software design principles, development frameworks, and programming languages.
- Expertise in IT operations management, including cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
