About The Role:
The Accounting Clerk II is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This includes reviewing invoices, processing payments, reconciling statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The position will report to the Corporate Controller.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Group Accounting email management
- Invoice Processing:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and/or receiving reports.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Payment Processing:
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconciliation:
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain and update vendor files.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping:
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in month-end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Vendor Relations:
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues.
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Education: An associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and audit processes

- Onsite role in San Diego, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
