About The Role:
The Staff Accountant role is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a company’s reports and statements. The position will report to the Corporate Controller. The staff accountant will perform duties as assigned in various methodology as it relates to specific accounting transactions, coordinate expense account processes. Complete required duties with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Month End processes, complete various reconciliations, track balance sheets, and communicate financial needs or problems to management.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
- Enter accounting related information into accounting software.
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process AR invoices as needed.
- Process AP bills as needed.
- Calculate distributor fees.
- Maintain customer records.
- Process deposits.
- Process journal entries.
- Maintain asset records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements & reporting package in Excel.
- Prepare departmental reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Bachelor’s degree required (accounting preferred)
- Three years of experience in accounting or related field

- Onsite role in San Diego, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

The pay range for this role is:
72,000 - 80,000 USD per year (Corporate San Diego)
