Senior Product Analyst

Position: Senior Product Analyst


We are seeking a Senior Product Analyst to start up our product analytics function. This position will be a crucial member of our scrappy and growing data team, responsible for leading the transformation towards a product organization that leverages data to inform and optimize product development and strategy. This role will be working directly with product managers, UX, and leadership to design KPIs, highlight and explain trends, and perform and present analyses that will influence product decisions and the roadmap. You will own product instrumentation, metrics and dashboards for product performance, experiment design, and support Product & Engineering leadership decision-making.

What you’ll do: 

  • Analyze product performance: Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, product features, and key metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support product development lifecycle: Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, track performance, and iterate on features from conception to launch.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards: Create and manage insightful dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into product health and performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of new features and product changes.
  • Translate data into actionable insights: Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders, influencing product strategy and decision-making.

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools like Looker or Omni, as well as product analytics platforms (Heap, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and professionally, demonstrating excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of driving work independently and proactively engaging with business stakeholders, navigating through ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding of designing metrics for SaaS applications (e.g., DAU:MAU, activation, stickiness, etc) and solid statistical analysis skills for A/B testing.
  • A “full-stack mindset”, not hesitating to do what it takes to solve a problem end-to-end, even if it requires going outside the original job description.

You’ll have an edge if you have:

  • Familiarity with dbt.
  • Familiarity with one of the data warehouses like Big Query, Snowflake, or Redshift (we use BigQuery).
  • A software engineering mindset and toolkit (e.g., git, testing, code reviews).
  • Experience with surveys (design, creation, maintenance, analysis).
  • Experience with edtech analytics.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.

Pay:  $100,000-$125,000 annual salary

Drug Testing & Background Testing
