What is the Role?


We are looking for a Head of Programmatic to grow Intersection’s revenues from programmatic and other automated buying channels. You will set Intersection’s overall programmatic strategy to maximize growth and yield of our digital assets. You will also be responsible for managing strategic relationships with SSPs and DSPs as well as partnering with our sales team to work with trading desks, programmatic agencies, and programmatic teams at major brands. In addition, you will have responsibility for identifying new opportunities for growth with other automated buying platforms, striking deals, leading integrations, and managing partnerships. Finally, you will act as the voice of the customer to work with our product, engineering, marketing, and pricing teams to ensure our products meet their needs. To succeed, you will need to be entrepreneurial, pro-active, externally focused, and execution oriented.


What you will accomplish:

  • Understand the rapidly evolving OOH automated buying landscape to determine which partners and channels can generate the biggest revenue opportunities
  • Own relationships with OOH Supply Side platforms and work with our SSP partners to evangelize our inventory and maximize our revenue from each SSP 
  • Own relationships with Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) and ensure our inventory is properly merchandised and promoted in those environments
  • Manage a small team of programmatic sellers / account managers
  • Partner with the sales team to build strong relationships with programmatic buyers (agency trading desks, brand direct programmatic teams) to win revenues. 
  • Strike, manage, and optimize programmatic trading deals with SSPs, DSPs, and agency partners
  • Evangelize Intersection’s products to the programmatic community and educate those partners on the unique benefits of Intersection’s inventory 
  • Develop and execute against new use cases for programmatic OOH that can drive incremental programmatic revenue (e.g., retail media, point of care, video) 
  • Identify other potential digital reseller channels and execute partnerships (e.g., self service platforms)
  • Oversee end-to-end facilitation for programmatic deals (pre-sales, planning, pricing, activation, delivery, post-campaign) working with various internal stakeholders
  • Partner with the product and engineering team as the voice of the customer to determine product offerings and new feature development
  • Partner with the pricing team to set floor rates, private marketplace deals, and programmatic guaranteed deals 
  • Track, analyze and communicate key metrics and business trends
  • Identify and lead key cross functional initiatives
  • Maintain subject matter expertise of partner ecosystem and stay up-to-date with programmatic and ad tech trends.

You're a great fit for this role because:

  • Experience in programmatic, either via the buy side or the sell side.
  • Understand the digital out of home landscape and familiarity with the key constituents
  • External focus - with experience in sales, business development, and/or partner management
  • Results orientation - directly or indirectly owning a revenue number 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and “sell now” mentality.
  • A passion for understanding the market, competitors, and Intersection’s unique capabilities.
  • Demonstrated data-driven thinking, with excellent quantitative and operational skills.
  • 5+ years directly in media/advertising.

Total Compensation: $150,000 - 250,000
