Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Medical Assistant to support daily front-office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow, and providing excellent customer service while supporting clinical staff as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately
  • Verify patient insurance information and process forms
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-ups
  • Assist with billing, coding, and payment processing as needed

Operational Support:

  • Ensure front desk operations run efficiently
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information (HIPAA compliance)
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and staff
  • Support clinic workflow and assist with administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certification or training in Medical Assisting or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
