Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience while efficiently managing front-desk operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Patient Interaction:

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify patient information and update electronic health records (EHR)

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Collect co-pays, process payments, and issue receipts
  • Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations
  • Manage referrals and coordinate with other healthcare providers

Operational Support:

  • Ensure smooth daily front-office operations
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and providers
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support administrative tasks as needed to improve clinic workflow

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred)
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
