Summary

Invictus is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer II to support Government System Authority to Operate initiatives in the Tysons, Virginia area. This role requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and direct experience supporting ATO efforts in classified cloud environments.

This is a hands-on security role focused on implementing, validating, and sustaining compliance aligned to NIST, RMF, ICD 503, and federal cybersecurity standards. The selected candidate will guide systems through IL5 and IL6 ATO processes, maintain continuous monitoring posture, and work directly with government stakeholders to ensure mission systems meet stringent security requirements.

This position is on site in the Tysons, Virginia area and requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities

• Support government clients in achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate status
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses aligned to NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP
• Monitor security systems, logs, and network traffic within IL5 and IL6 environments
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and security documentation
• Support vulnerability scanning and continuous monitoring activities
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement secure architectures and controls
• Ensure compliance with government cybersecurity policies and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• CISSP or equivalent certification supporting DoD 8140 requirements
• Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Government System ATO efforts
• Demonstrated experience achieving and maintaining ATO for IL5 and IL6 cloud systems
• Strong experience with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and intrusion detection systems
• Strong incident response and forensic analysis capabilities
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to articulate technical risks clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ATO across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS environments
• Experience working within highly compartmented mission environments
• Experience supporting classified cloud architectures
