Summary

Invictus Strategy & Solutions is hiring a Power Generation Project Estimator to support outage-related estimating for one of our key industrial service clients in the power generation sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed project cost estimates for mechanical outage scopes, primarily related to HRSG and boiler systems. You will work closely with sales, operations, and proposal management teams to produce accurate and competitive estimates that drive successful project execution.

This is a remote role with East Coast preference, and includes occasional travel (approximately 20%) for site walkdowns and client interface at power facilities in North Carolina and/or New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical outage projects at power generation sites
• Support bid and proposal development in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Participate in walkdowns and client meetings to define scope and gather site-specific data
• Maintain and track quoting activity using CRM software (Zoho or similar)
• Source pricing from vendors and subcontractors as part of estimating process
• Ensure estimates align with internal profit targets, timelines, and execution goals
• Report directly to the Proposal Manager, supporting the preparation of proposal packages and pricing documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in power generation or industrial mechanical services
• Experience with HRSG systems or boiler-related outages preferred
• Strong estimating experience with demonstrated ability to deliver detailed and accurate cost proposals
• Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% per year

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $75,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience

Profit Sharing: Based on performance and company success
