Overview of the Role:

The Developer II plays a critical role in ensuring the operational feasibility of software solutions by evaluating analysis, defining problems, gathering requirements, and developing and implementing solutions. They approach complex, often ambiguous technical challenges as self-starters with a commitment to best practices and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and translate requirements into technical specifications
• Design and develop new software applications or enhance existing systems, including applications, modules, or software components
• Write production-level code, adhering to best practices and established software engineering standards
• Conduct testing and debugging to meet user specifications, including both automated and manual testing approaches
• Review code written by other developers, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to and maintain documentation and educational materials, adapting them based on user feedback and product changes
• Offer informal mentorship and guidance to other developers on the team
• Assist in training end-users on new or updated functionalities
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency in data structure concepts (e.g., linked lists, dictionaries, arrays, custom objects)
• Experience with ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, and MVC framework
• Strong SQL background; Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
• Familiarity with Razor Views, Git, Bootstrap, and jQuery
• Experience in full-stack development
• QA experience, including testing and debugging practices a plus
• Strong design and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent time management and leadership skills
• Ability to tackle challenges that involve interconnected systems
