Job Summary

  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Junior Project Manager / Estimator to support both the project management and estimating functions of our team. This dual-role position involves assisting with the development of accurate project estimates and managing day-to-day project coordination from pre-construction through closeout. Ideal candidates are analytical, organized, and eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities


Estimating Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates based on plans, specifications, and site conditions
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist with bid proposals, scopes of work, and bid package preparation
  • Maintain historical cost data and assist in budgeting for future projects

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met
  • Assist in tracking and managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists
  • Attend site meetings and document progress through meeting notes and photos
  • Support job closeout procedures including collection of warranties, O&Ms, and final documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in estimating or project coordination (internships count)
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, PlanSwift, or similar)
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

The pay range for this role is:

60,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Ironhorn Enterprises HQ)
