Job Summary
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Junior Project Manager / Estimator to support both the project management and estimating functions of our team. This dual-role position involves assisting with the development of accurate project estimates and managing day-to-day project coordination from pre-construction through closeout. Ideal candidates are analytical, organized, and eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates based on plans, specifications, and site conditions
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist with bid proposals, scopes of work, and bid package preparation
- Maintain historical cost data and assist in budgeting for future projects
Project Management Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Assist in tracking and managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists
- Attend site meetings and document progress through meeting notes and photos
- Support job closeout procedures including collection of warranties, O&Ms, and final documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in estimating or project coordination (internships count)
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Ironhorn Enterprises HQ)
