Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead the full lifecycle of projects—from preconstruction through closeout. This dual-role position is ideal for a professional who is as comfortable in the office preparing estimates as they are managing project execution in the field. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities


Estimating
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including quantity takeoffs, labor, material, and equipment pricing
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages for subcontractors and vendors
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate budgets and bids
• Manage RFI and value engineering processes during bidding
• Lead bid reviews and provide strategic input on approach and margins
• Track and maintain cost history data to improve future estimates

Project Management                            
• Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities
• Monitor project performance and cost control measures; issue change orders and progress reports
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Oversee contract administration, compliance, and project documentation
• Conduct site visits, lead job meetings, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Maintain client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle


Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
    • 5–10 years of proven experience in estimating and project management roles
    • Strong understanding of building systems, construction means and methods, and job cost management
    • Proficiency with estimating and PM software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, MS Project, or similar
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 95,000 USD per year (Ironhorn Enterprises HQ)
