InSpectre Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Court Reporter to join our team, specializing in conducting depositions for Longshore Act, Department of Labor Compensation Claims, and Defense Base Act cases. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate, timely, and professional documentation of legal proceedings, emphasizing unparalleled professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.
What you'll do
Deposition Reporting:
- Conduct verbatim reporting of depositions related to Longshore Act, Department of Labor Compensation Claims, and Defense Base Act cases.
- Capture and transcribe spoken words, gestures, and other non-verbal communication with precision.
- Open to occasional in-person depositions, if necessary, within the United States with travel expenses included.
Technical Proficiency:
- Utilize stenotype machines, computer-aided transcription equipment, and other relevant technology to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and continuously enhance technical skills.
Attention to Detail:
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment too detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of transcripts.
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies in the record promptly.
Timeliness:
- Uphold strict timelines for the delivery of transcripts, recognizing the critical nature of legal proceedings.
- Efficiently manage workload to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Confidentiality:
- Safeguard sensitive information and maintain the confidentiality of legal proceedings and client communications.
- In addition to the aforementioned, also be in adherence to HIPPA and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure confidentiality guidelines.
Professionalism:
- Exhibit unparalleled professionalism in all interactions with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals.
- Adhere to a high standard of ethical conduct and maintain a neutral and unbiased demeanor during proceedings.

Location: Remote
Qualifications
- Certified Court Reporter with a valid license (i.e. AAERT) in the jurisdiction of practice (CDR, CER, or CVR)
- Notary License in state of residence and can achieve a remote notary license (unless their state does not mandate).
- Proven experience in conducting depositions for Longshore Act, Department of Labor Compensation Claims, and Defense Base Act cases or similar.
- Proficiency in the use of stenotype machines and computer-aided transcription.
- Have a familiarity with Eclipse Software. (Training is available through the Vendor)
- Excellent command of English language and grammar.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adherence to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct.
The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 77,175 USD per year (Remote (United States))
